Golden Ears Soccer Club

Referee Information

Being a referee is sometimes a thankless, lonely job. But the role played by those who aspire to the title of referee is one of the most important in soccer. As important as any player, coach or manager. The Club's heart felt thanks goes out to those who step  forward to fill these positions.

A class 4 referee is able to officiate divisional matches equivalent to their age bracket and with some consideration of their experience. e.g.. A 14 yr. old class 4 referee would be able to referee U-11 and U-12 teams to a Silver B level.

A class 5 referee is able to officiate mini level games. They can also officiate as assistant referees at the divisional level. The level of experience would be dictate what assignments they are given. The key here is to develop confident a/r's under the mentorship of senior referees.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our Referee in Chief Tom Babic headref@geusc.bc.ca
